Technology takes a central part in our, individual, lives. We use technology for own benefits, or just because we think there’s no alternative.

What does it mean to live in a data society? What are the ethical implications?

During this evening, Piek Visser-Knijff will introduce you to data-ethics: the values we need to take into account if we want to use data & tech in a way that supports us as humans. She will speak about recent and actual cases to support her vision on humane technology.

Bio
Piek Visser-Knijff likes to introduce herself as privacy activist & data-ethicist. She runs her own business which is called Filosofie in actie (Philosophy in action). She helps private & public organisations in composing their ethical guidelines for using data. She trains data-professionals in ethics, Privacy Officers en Data Protection Officers in data-ethics. And lots of others in Critical Thinking. She is a very energetic and enthusiastic speaker.
