Hike & Swim in Liepnitzsee, Sunset & Perseid Meteor shower

Let's explore Liepnitzsee for a small walk, swimming, sunset, and stargazing without feeling rushed.

Meeting & reaching there:
Meeting point: Karow at 12:27 pm
Berlin Hbf → Berlin-Karow (S-Bahn or RE) → RB27 to Wandlitzsee. ~50 min total.

## Plan:

### 13:00–16:00 – Scenic Hike

• Take the circular trail around Liepnitzsee (~8 km, 2–2.5 hrs leisurely pace).
• Route: Waldparkplatz → western shore → cross by ferry to Insel Liepnitz (optional island loop) → ferry back → continue north shore → return to start.
• Forest paths are shady, so midday heat won’t be a problem.

### 16:00–18:00 – Swimming & Relax

• Strandbad Liepnitzsee (has café, restrooms).
• Secluded forest openings along west shore for wild swim.
• Swim, sunbathe, maybe nap a little.

### 17:30–20:30 – Sunset, Yoga, Meditation & Dinner

• Find a west-facing shoreline for golden hour magic.
• An evening yoga & meditation session from my side :)
• Eat an early dinner/snacks while watching the sunset.

### 20:30–22:30 – Stargazing

• After sunset (~20:30 in mid-Aug), let the sky darken.
• Best for stargazing on the South shore open field.
• West shore clearings without tree canopy.
• Lie on a blanket, keep lights off, let eyes adjust 20–30 min.
• You might still catch Perseid meteors in mid-August

What to bring:
- A mat to sit on the grass or a yoga mat would be convenient
- Some food & drinks
- Little warmer clothes as it might require after the sunset

### Return

• Train: RB27 last train from Wandlitzsee usually leaves before midnight at 11:30 pm
• Car: Easy night drive back to Berlin.
