Tonight is our second and probably last Meetup at the great alternative festival Sommerwerft. Its program features theatre, music, modern dance, poetry, cinema and workshops. There are several stages and a big beer garden as meeting point for a colourful mix of visitors. Tonight’s program unfortunately doesn’t feature a big theatre show, but at least you don’t get stressed out where to go next. There will be a suggested itinerary but you can explore in smaller groups, especially after sunset.

7pm: We meet at the wide side entrance to the big tent, facing the beer garden, to follow the first musical performance, an Art-Pop band singing in German called Menschenhund. The concert starts 7pm. If there‘s some seats we might sit down. Look for a Meetup sign.

Those not so tempted by this kind of music can just sit and chill in the beer garden area opposite the tent and have drinks/dinner. wraps/Flammkuchen and other snacks, all vegetarian, cocktails, soft drinks, beer/wine, please bring CASH.

Instead of the concert, you can also have a look at other performances, at some point we will take a walk to the Theaterbühne - first stage when entering the festival from the city side - for the Song Slam competition (starting 19:30 but we may also arrive a bit later) - short gigs of singer-songwriters competing against each other

After the first concert, around 8:15pm we try to get the whole meetup group to gather in the beer garden outside the music tent for dinner/drinks and a good chat. Look out for a Meetup sign to find the group. You may also use the event just for dinner and socializing.

At 8:30pm I’d suggest another concert with the latin-flavoured pop band „Daylight music“ with Columbian and Brazilian members, in the white music tent in the middle of the festival.

Tonight’s late performance at 21:45 is Silent Cinema, with short movies from the Lusofest Festival, all related to water.

Entrance to the festival is free, there will be voluntary donations collected for organisers and artists after each show. Donations and drinks/food sales are the main sources of funding for this festival, its survival also depends on us!

There are a few sheltered areas at the festival, e.g. the tent where the concert is, so a few rain showers wouldn’t impede to have the Meetup. In case of heavy rain the event will be cancelled.
