Manufacturing has its very own challenges, when it comes to IT/OT integration. Manufacturing tools often linger for years on our shop floors, updates are spares, output formats different from vendor to vendor. Yet, we need the data from these tools to enhance our production processes, detect errors and improve workflows. In addition, we have people that are very experienced with their tools, processes and products, but not so much with IoT.
In the talk, Daniel will give an overview of the challenges, possible solutions and a minimal demonstration of Apache NiFi.
Apache NiFi is a low-code/no-code approach to tackle the above stated issues and it is made to follow some important DevOps principles like „Simplicity and Locality“.
