We are happy to announce our next Docker Meetup!

Note: Newbies to Docker are also welcome!

Currently, we are still looking for topics and speakers. Drop us a message, if you are interested.

The first talk of Andreas Erhard, who is writing his master thesis at the University of Bamberg in cooperation with Brose, is going to tell us his experiences about development and risk assessment of a hybrid container architecture. Therefore, his focus relies on the operation of microservice applications in an international enterprise environment. As a foundation, he depicts the steps to deploy Kubernetes using the SUSE CaaS Platform for an international automotive supplier.

We will also have a talk to give you an overview of the new features of Docker Desktop that have been announced at DockerCon 2019 in San Francisco. We'll have a look how to build multi-architecture Docker images with just one command using the tech preview of the buildx Docker CLI plugin. Develop and build your image locally on your Intel/AMD notebook and deploy the image on ARM CPU's like your Raspberry Pi or in the cloud running on ARM in AWS A1 machines.

Language will be English if requested, otherwise German.

Where to find us: short video of how to find us (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mt7no76ZHGQ).
