Abstract
####################################
In slightly more than one hour, we try to build a full blown IoT product using AWS services. We start by having a look on choosing the hardware and how to provision a device with AWS IoT. Using certificates and policies we see how to establish an encrypted and authenticated connection to the cloud. Step by step we then extend our new product by exposing an API to read and manipulate the ThingShadow, react to sensor events and integrate into a smart home ecosystem. At the end we build an Alexa skill to enable voice interaction with our IoT device.

About the Speaker

Moukarram is a Cloud Architect at Grohe AG in Germany. Additionally to creating IoT devices and connecting almost everything to the Microsoft Azure and AWS, he's interested in software architecture and modern web development. For the best part of his life he's been developing software with C# and JavaScript.
