Spring has gotten seriously fast – fast enough to be used as a super-flexible, programmable reverse proxy in front a bunch of backend services that average thousands of requests per second. Let's take a look at why you might want to do that, how many lines of Kotlin we need to do it… and when you might be better off sticking to established solutions like nginx or HAProxy.
