Hike from Herchen to Dattenfeld

This Sunday, we will be hiking around Celtic ruins ☘, basalt rocks 🪨and thick forests near the Sieg River! And end the day, with a nice swim 🦭🦭 (if the weather is good.) in the river, near Dattenfeld.

We see each other at 08:45 at Düsseldorf Hbf but everyone is free to join wherever they want.
We will start the hike in Herchen and at point 4 in the Komoot map, you could take a 1 km detour and visit the ruins of a Celtic Ringwall ☘ from the pre-Roman Times.
We will take our lunch break at point 8, where the Evangelical Church ⛪ compound in Leuscheid has some options to sit and have lunch.
In case you want to buy something along the way, there might be some possibilities in Leuscheid.
At point 12 in Dattenfeld, there is the option to swim (if the weather is good.), so do not forget your swimming gear (check the weather a day before) .
We will take the train back to Düsseldorf from Dattenfeld.
