[Berlin GenArt Month] Marcel Schwittlick: Octet

You are cordially invited to attend an exclusive event at despace, featuring a unique experiment in the fusion of installation, performance, sound and visual art. Hosted by artist Marcel Schwittlick, the event will showcase a performance featuring eight vintage plotter machines that will produce a distinct auditory experience.

The performance will be held on March 25 and 26, from 14:00h to 20:00h on both days. As a visitor, you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the captivating world of vintage plotters, experiencing firsthand the artistic potential that these machines offer.

Marcel Schwittlick is a Berlin-based artist who creates artworks exploring the cybernetic aspects of generative systems and modern technology. His multidisciplinary practice combines digital and analog media to examine the intersection of art, technology, and philosophy.

Marcel's works often incorporate generative art, a form of art created using algorithms and computer code. His algorithmic methods and machines generate intricate, geometric patterns that explore the boundaries between chance and intention, control and randomness.

Another area of Marcel's practice is plotter art, which involves using vintage plotters to create precise and intricate drawings. In his plotter art,
Marcel uses the machine's limitations and quirks to his advantage, pushing the boundaries of what is possible and creating unique works highlighting the interplay between machine and artist.

Bright Moments is an NFT art collective on a mission to create environments where artists and collectors can co-create and co-consume generative art. We do this through building IRL minting experiences where artists and collectors witness the birth of generative art together.

At fxhash we build tools that allow artists and collectors to live out their passion for generative art. We facilitate an easy and safe space for artists, collectors, curators and the curious to experience generative art projects; to buy, sell and collect art — and share their collections with the world.
