A digital discussion:
Crypto art has gained a considerable following over recent years – new digital marketspaces have cropped up. In the wake of crypto art being married to “non-fungible tokens” (NFTs), which authenticate each work as scarce and unique, the market has exploded in popularity.
How exactly do NFTs work? What impact will derivative works have on art in general if they offer an owner programming options such as changing the colors or even its “state”? Is static art being challenged? And finally, are artists getting their due with newly found ownership and ways of profit?
We invite players of the crypto scene to shed some light on this yet mysterious parallel universe. After a spicy discussion, both pros and newcomers are welcome to join the open Q&A session.
