Introduction to Effective Altruism + Socialising (Free Pizza!)

Does this sound familiar: You want to make a difference in the world – but you feel that you could never have any real impact?

Effective Altruism is a ground-breaking philosophy and young social movement that offers a new perspective on the world’s most pressing problems, such as diseases, animal suffering, climate change but also AI safety and pandemic preparedness. We draw on science and careful reasoning to find out how to have the most positive impact – and then take action with tractable results.

So come along to our Effective Altruism Intro Event and learn that you (yes, you!) can actually do a lot of good in the world. We’ll kick off with a compact intro talk about our key ideas, offered in English and German (in parallel). Stick around to socialise with like-minded people over free pizza and drinks.

Wir beginnen mit einem kompakten Einführungs-Vortrag über unsere wichtigsten Ideen, der parallel auf Englisch und Deutsch angeboten wird. Anschließend kannst du dich mit Gleichgesinnten austauschen – Pizza und Getränke gehen auf uns!
