Community Dinner - Pacifism and Just War Theory - Thu 12.06

Details
- Under what conditions are wars permissible, if at all?
- Which recent and ongoing wars could we classify as just, if at all?
- Can we find a middle point between pacifism and just war theory?
- Does it even make sense to defend pacifism if war seems inevitable anyway?
Let's discuss! Join us for a community dinner & discussion on June 12th, 2025, to discuss whether pacifism and just war theory can be reconciled with each other. We'll prepare a summery couscous dish together together, eat, and explore ideas in a casual setting.
Required reading: Pacifism for Nonpacifists by Robert L. Holmes
For this event, we kindly request that attendants complete the reading beforehand. That way we can pick apart arguments more effectively :)
