RedRum Sessions is a Berlin-based event series featuring various brilliant musicians and performers from all corners of the world in one of Berlins coolest cocktail bars; RedRum Artbar.
At the RedRum Sessions, we consistently book international Berlin based musicians with different styles and backgrounds, all events are curated and organised by The Traveling Stage.
For our show on the 2nd of October we have a special evening planned; we’re inviting the local jazz group Matthew Liebeck Quartet and the Montreal based duo Nous Deux to our 32nd night at RedRum Sessions.

Nous Deux
After opening for Blonde Redhead on their latest tour in Canada, Nous Deux is releasing their debut album ... et le monde entier, a piece to find ourselves, to warm up, and to get through the cold. Through orchestral arrangements, lush guitars, and soft voices, ... et le monde entier evokes the intimacy of Chanson française and the warmth of 60s Brazilian music. The album was mastered by the legendary Brazilian sound engineer Ricardo Garcia (João Gilberto, Caetano Veloso, Jorge Ben, Tom Zé) and features, among others, the collaboration of Blonde Redhead's drummer, Simone Pace.
It’s a sophisticated, emotionally resonant piece.

Matthew Liebeck Quartet
Matthew Liebeck Quartet was founded at the beginning of last year and has performed throughout Berlin. The quartet has released their first album 'Horizons' and drum and bass single 'J&D' as well as more live albums on all platforms. They mix Latin, soul, swing and modern jazz with drum and bass to create a unique sound inspired by the different backgrounds of its members, which come from the UK, Germany and Japan. The diverse influences and the musical openness of the band will blow your mind! They are looking forward to presenting this for you music lovers!
