On tracks of the Nibelungen in Worms and waters around with option to swim

We start in Worms, a city of the famous Nibelungen saga and visit the impressive dome and some other attractions there. We leave the city and hike through parks until we reach the Rhine. We continue there for a while. Then we hike to Silbersee, which is in the middle of several lakes. There we will have a break for swimming. Water temperature is 25°, shouldn't be too cold for anyone. There is also a restaurant. We continue to Bobenheim and visit a small bird park and finally reach the train station.

We meet in Fra Hbf at 9:30 at the beginning of platform 24 for RE 4 departing at 9:38. A Deutschlandticket is recommended, but you can also buy a single day ticket.

The distance is ca. 16 km, flat. Have a look at the route in the photos section. Bring enough beverages & food for the way with you.
