Along the mills route to Oberwesel with fireworks and music show at the Rhein

We start in Niederburg and visit the castle ruin there. Then we hike on the mills route and pass Klockners Mühle, Damms Mühle, Gödert's Mühle, Weilersmühle and some more until we reach Oberwesel. We will walk along the historic city wall and visit some historic buildings. At the end, we enjoy the fireworks and music show at the Rhein. Note that there is ca. 2 hours between the end of the hike and the start of the fireworks, where we enjoy the festival in the city.
We meet in Fra Hbf at 14:55 at the beginning of platform 20 for RE 2 departing at 15:08. A Deutschlandticket is required, unless you live in the area or come by car.
The distance is ca. 8 km. Have a look at the route and elevation in the photos section. There are pavillons with drinks and food in Oberwesel.
