Hi all,

the summer break is almost over. Hopefully, you could escape the heat wave to stay somewhere cold.

I am glad to announce the 8th Meetup of the Hadoop User Group Vienna.

This time the focus point will be Apache Kafka, since it is a joint Meetup with the newly created Vienna Kafka Meetup (https://www.meetup.com/Vienna-Kafka-meetup/).

-----------------------------------------

There will be two talks this time:

• Disaster Recovery in the Hadoop Ecosystem: Preparing for the Improbable (Stefan, Hortonworks)

• Highly Scalable Machine Learning and Deep Learning in Real Time with Apache Kafka’s Streams API (Kai, Confluent)

-----------------------------------------

Once again, our host will be T-Mobile Austria, who will also provide snacks and beverages.

Enjoy the rest of the summer, looking forward to this session!
