We explore available Go packages for terminal based user interfaces, their applications and limits, and how this led to the development of "tview" (now at 1.6K stars on GitHub). We show what problems "tview" attempts to solve and how it makes it easy to quickly write terminal UIs.

Oliver Rivo, co-founder of Stock Performer
After an M.Sc. in Computer Science some 20 years ago, he subsequently worked with C/C++, Java, PHP, Python, Clojure, Javascript until finally discovering Go in 2014 which he would since love to use for everything.

Guilherme Santos, senior software engineer at DeliveryHero
Guilherme is an experienced software engineer who has worked with embedded system for VoIP phone devices coding in C and Lua. Lately he has moved to Golang to work in a big data environment.
Right know he is dedicated to build fast and reliable Go applications that can handle 100.000 orders per day at DeliveryHero.
