ABOUT OUR SPEAKERS
Geoffrey (@tealeg) Teale is the Head of Developer Experience at Upvest GmbH. He's been a contributor to Free and Open Source software since the mid 1990s, and a Go programmer since the day of its public announcement (November 10th, 2009).
Tim (@plusmid) Scheuermann is a Software Design Engineer at Mattermost and Co-host of the Berlin Go Meetup. Tim started his Go journey with version 1.0, when it was required for a uni course. His most productive days are when he can replace 1000 LoC with just a few.
🤓 ABOUT our host Upvest 🤓
At Upvest we're on a mission to make investing as easy as spending money.
Today, investing is still a privilege for the few. We make it more accessible. Our Investment API empowers any business to offer amazing investment experiences. Hundreds of millions of people can now create wealth and vote with their money for a better future.
Our customers choose Upvest because we enable them to bring their investment products to the market incredibly quickly. That's possible because we empower our engineers to own every decision and outcome around their domains, and because we have built a modern, event-driven, micro-service backend entirely in Go, from the ground up.
If you'd like to know more about the way we work in Upvest Engineering, see "The way we build our API platform" (https://engineering.upvest.co/posts/culture/way-we-build-our-platform/). If you'd like to know more about Upvest in general see our website at: https://upvest.co
