Unit testing is table-stakes for writing production quality code, but the popularly used example-based approach leaves coverage of edge-cases only as broad as the imagination of the developer. How can take our testing to the next level, without needing a brain-transplant? This talk will hopefully give you some ideas!

fgtrace is a tool for capturing detailed timeline views for the execution of all goroutines inside of a program. This talk will show the tool in action and then take a step back and explore how it fits into the future of Go observability. Expect live coding, a plot twist or two and a look at some interesting Go runtime internals.
