Managing all your alerts with Grafana Alerting

Abstract: Dashboards are great during the day but alerts based on your metrics are what you need when you’re not in front of your computer. This session will show you how to manage all your Alertmanagers withing Grafana, the differences between the Prometheus Alertmanager and Grafana Alerting, and demo the unique features of Grafana Alerting to efficiently create alerts on many of your datasources. We will also be there to answer all your questions regarding how to use Grafana Alerting to monitor your systems.

Bio: Jean-Philippe Quéméner is a software engineer working on Grafana Alerting and specializing on the evaluation of alert rules in Grafana, Mimir, and Prometheus. Before working at Grafana Labs, he built an alert system used by many German companies at GroupAlarm.
Armand Grillet is an engineering manager working with the teams developing the Grafana alerting and SLO systems.

Influx 2 on an ARM Single Board Computer

Abstract: This talk shows the use of Grafana in a non business context; as tool to visualize data of a smart home. I will show the setup used to control the house and produce and store the data. From there we will see how the dashboards and alerts I created help me running the house, learn how it behaves, and optimize various aspects over the years.

Bio: Wolfgang Klimt works at ConSol Software GmbH since 1997, currently as Site Reliability Engineer for a Bavarian automotive company.
