---------------
This grief session is for anyone experiencing loss or life transitions, and for anyone noticing anxiety related to any kind of loss or grief.

After loss, many of us carry thoughts, worries, or sensations that replay again and again:

  • I keep thinking about what could happen to the people I love.
  • I worry about my own health and how I will cope in life.
  • I can’t stop thinking about “what if” scenarios, about the past and the future.
  • I feel restless, tense, or on edge for no clear reason.
  • I feel calm one moment, and then anxiety hits, even during ordinary moments.
  • I feel unprepared for changes, and uncertainty takes a toll on me.
  • and so much more

These moments of anxiety often show up unexpectedly: in the mornings, at night, or at random moments during the day. They can greatly affect daily life and make us worry even more: Will it ever ease?

In this educational and supportive session, you’ll take a practical, reflective look at anxiety in grief.

What you will do:

  • Explore common forms of anxiety that arise after loss, including worry about loved ones and yourself, rumination about the past or the future, bodily tension, sudden panic, uncertainty in life transitions, and more.
  • Reflect on your experiences with anxiety through guided exercises.
  • Learn practical coping strategies you can use immediately.
  • Practice coping methods for anxiety in an immersive guided visualization and body-oriented exercise.
  • Listen and share in a small closed group.

Session structure:

  • 75-minute main session: Combination of sharing, discussion, and practical exercises.
  • Optional 15-minute post-workshop informal discussion: For those who wish to stay longer for further questions and reflections.

After the workshop, you’ll receive a workbook with further materials on anxiety in grief.

Important notice:
This workshop is educational and supportive and is not a substitute for therapy. If you experience severe distress, please contact your healthcare provider or an emergency hotline.

This workshop is not suitable for people in acute psychological situations. If you are unsure whether this workshop is appropriate for you, please contact me directly.

I'm looking forward to exploring these complex topics with you!
Warmly,
Elena
