Years ago, you moved to a new country.
Maybe you…
… weren’t fluent in the language.
… worked while studying to support yourself.
… carried lots of expectations from yourself and your family to make it.
… struggled with visa applications.
… worried about passing probation, knowing how much was at stake.
After all these years of struggling, one day you make it. You get the job you’d been working towards all this time. Maybe you get citizenship too.
For the first time you are safe.

But now that you made it: why does it feel so empty?

The things you thought would feel great don’t really feel that way. The problems you thought you’d solve by now are still there. Is this really IT?
Maybe you’ve been thinking: Why do I feel unhappy if this is everything I thought I wanted?
Sounds familiar?

In this meetup you will have a chance to find new ways to approach the problem and come up with the first steps to walk towards this new direction

Here's the agenda:
1. 15 min intro from me talking about the common phases in an expat life trying to make it in a foreign country.
2. Group coaching exercise (55 min)
3. Wrap-up (5 min)

How does the group coaching work?

  • Everyone briefly introduces themselves and describes a challenge they are dealing with as expats.
  • After everyone has shared, we vote on one challenge. The challenge with maximum amount of votes gets discussed. I will coach the person or people with that challenge - the group is welcome to chime in.
  • At the end of the session you will come out with an actionable outcome on how to approach the topic further.
  • Finally everyone rates from 1 to 10 - how confident they are about overcoming their own challenges after this session.

If you’re ready to reflect on your path in a group setting and find the first steps to change it, I invite you to join this group coaching session.

max. 12 sign ups.

Who is hosting?

I’m Marija - a life coach, software engineer and a fellow expat who has been through academic pressures, career burnout, identity confusion, and the feeling of “screwing up” in Germany.
These experiences eventually became my doorway into clarity, emotional regulation, and building a life that feels like mine.
Now as a WCO certified coach, I support expats and tech professionals on similar journeys.
