early bird summer hike baltic sea grömitz to neustadt, 18 km [easy] on 05.07.25

when i was a little boy, i spent many wonderful hours with my parents on the baltic sea beach in grömitz.

that's why i'd like to take you on a relaxing baltic sea hike from grömitz to neustadt.

we'll meet at hamburg central station, take the train to lübeck and then to neustadt in holstein. we'll continue by bus to grömitz.

because the bus will be very crowded, i unfortunately have to limit the number of participants. please only register if you can actually make it. anyone who registers and doesn't show up will be tarred and feathered.

in grömitz, we'll first explore the beautiful tourist town and stroll along the beautiful promenade. after a visit to the pier, we'll hike to the marina and along the beautiful cliffs via pelzerhaken to neustadt.

the route takes us partly over the cliffs and along the beach and is approximately 19 km long. the journey will take us about four hours, and we'll have two relaxing breaks on the beach along the way.
the only catch: you'll have to get up very very early that day because the train departs at 7:06 a.m. we'll arrive in grömitz at 9:40 a.m.. schedule see below.

please bring enough food and drink for the day. if you want to swim in the baltic sea, don't forget your swimsuit.

for the return trip, i've scheduled the bus at 4:24 p.m. at the latest, so we'll arrive back at hamburg central station at 6:53 p.m.

you will need a deutschland ticket or a regular DB ticket.

as i said, please only register if you can really make it. if something comes up, please cancel by wednesday evening so that those who are on the waiting list have enough time to adjust.
