One More Heath-Hike: Soltau - Niederhaverbeck (30 km / hard)

Moin, dear hikers! The public holiday next week Friday is also the last day with Heide-Shuttle bus service this year. That's why I would like to take the opportunity once again for a hike in the more remote areas of the Lüneburg Heath. This time the route takes us from the village of Niederhaverbeck, over the Tütsberg mountain, through forests and heathland areas such as the Röders Heide and the Wacholderpark to the train station Soltau-Nord. Recommended for all of you who enjoy wide landscapes and who like longer distances at a not too slow walking speed of around 5.5 km/h. Please bring food and drinks as needed for the day, there are no opportunities to restock on the way. Sturdy shoes and clothing are recommended. Friendly dogs are also welcome.

We meet at Hamburg Hbf on platform 12, section E, below the sign 'E', at 8:25 and take the train RB41 in the direction of Bremen at 8:37. The train usually departs from platform 12, but check the displays for any changes on Friday. In Buchholz we change to train RB38 and start the hike in Soltau-Nord at 9:51. For the return trip we use the bus Heide-Shuttle 2 from Niederhaverbeck, and train RE4 from Tostedt to Hamburg, where we should arrive at 18:43. The trip is covered by the Deutschland-Ticket. Without D-Ticket a 6-Ring HVV ticket is needed for HH Hbf - Soltau-Nord and a 5 ring HVV ticket for Tostedt - HH-Hbf. The Heide-Shuttle buses are free of charge.

As always, this is a free event, but voluntary donations are welcome and help me cover the costs of running the group. Nobody is expected to give, only do so if you can afford it and would like to. Look out for the violet donation box toward the end of the hike.
