Above and Alongside Elbe River from Geesthacht to Lauenburg (21 km / moderate)

Moin, dear Hikers! Are you all enjoying spring as much as I am? What else is there to do in this finally nice weather if not go for a hike!?! And the planned tour really has a lot to offer: Magnificent views, lots of forests, a disused nuclear power plant, mysterious ruins in the middle of the forest, beautiful paths along the Elbe riverbanks and towards the end the pretty old town of Lauenburg. If you would like to come along, please bring enough food and drinks for the day. Sturdy shoes and clothes are recommended.

We will meet at 10:05 at the Bergedorf bus station, departure area F, and take the X80 bus at 10:12 to Geesthacht. The X80 bus starts in Hamburg city center, and if it's more convenient for you, you can also board at Hamburg ZOB (at 9:36) or at Berliner Tor (at 9:39), or at other stops. For the return journey from Lauenburg, we will again take the X80 bus or a bus from the train replacement service, which also stop at the Lauenburg central bus station. The bus trips are covered by the Deutschland-Ticket; without D-Ticket, the start and end points of the hike are within HVV fare zone C.

Please play nice and only sign up if your are 100% sure that you will join! Unreliable people (no show or late cancellation) may be excluded from future events with limited capacity. Repeat offenders will be banned from the group.

As always, this is a free event, but voluntary donations are welcome and help me cover the costs of running the group. Nobody is expected to give, only do so if you can afford it and would like to. Look out for the violet donation box toward the end of the hike.
