Agile Maturity—Fad, Trend or Holy Grail?—and Scaling Agile the ThoughtWorks Ways

Update 2017-11-22:
We will be joined by Katja Bethke of ThoughtWorks who will introduce us to ThoughtWorks’ approach to agile at scale: EDGE.
Katja joined ThoughtWorks 1,5 years ago as a Business Analyst. Originally coming from the field of medical information engineering, she dedicated her energy to individual software development and delivery in large IT projects.
She loves to build the bridge for mature agile delivery teams into the wider organization, deeply convinced, that with clear goals teams will be pulled into the right direction (rather than they have to be pushed).
In her talk, Katja will show how detailed stories can be linked to the vision to demonstrate value creation for the organization. Always walking on the edge to focus on collaborative decision-making rather than on artifacts and processes.
And then there is ‘Agile Maturity’:
In early October, we launched a survey to figure out whether agile maturity is a fad, a trend or the holy grail of an agile transition.
And if so, the next question is obvious, too: What is the ‘promised land’ in agile terms then? Are we all supposed to turn to sociocracy or holacracy?

Join us at the ThoughtWork’s Berlin office on November 30th, 2017, for the last Hands-on Agile meetup of 2017 and find out what we learned from 84 people participating in the survey.
