Data Lakes have been planned by many companies during the last years but could not always be implemented successfully. One key struggle here is the missing governance.

This session is divided in 2 parts:

The first part of the session will be around definition, business value, architecture and alternative options of implementation of Data Lakes. We will also look at a successful client example.
Data Privacy is a key topic for businesses to achieve the balance between legal guidelines, customer satisfaction and analytical possibilities
The second part will show legal aspects and possible ways of implementation, like granular access control or anonymisation - especially in the context of Data Lakes.
During this Session you will also gain insights on processes and methods around implementing a heterogeneous Data Lake with integrated Data Privacy by using IBM Cloud Pak for Data

Harald Gröger is a technical expert at IBM Germany around topics like Big Data + Information Management. He advises clients with regards to the technology landscape in the context of Data (Access & Quality), Governance (Integration & Catalogue) and Analysis (Reporting and AI) for several years now.

Gabriele Hantschel, Manager at IBM AI Applications, already developed neural networks 30 years ago during the first European Commision program “Applications of Neural Networks for Industry in Europe”! Besides leading positions at KPMG, Cambridge Technology Partners, Microsoft Services and since 2007 at IBM Software Services, she holds several honorary posts with passion for Mixed Leadership, Diversity, STEM topics and digital leadership.
