More than Siri and Alexa: Women's Voices in AI

Details
Women's voices are underrepresented - especially in tech. This has a detrimental impact in fields like machine learning and artificial intelligence where biased input is a big issue.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a field of computer science dedicated to creating systems that can perform tasks that typically require human intelligence. These tasks include learning, reasoning, problem-solving, perception, and language understanding.
AI has the potential to revolutionize various industries, improving efficiency, automating mundane tasks, and enabling breakthroughs. However, one significant concern is the potential for bias in AI systems, as they learn from historical data that may reflect existing social prejudices as well as the perspectives of the people responsible for deciding which data to use as input.
In honor of International Women's Day, we’re taking a closer look at the importance of women’s voices and representation in AI, its challenges, as well as tips and opportunities.
The event is hybrid – you can either register for the live stream or on-site.
