IBASHO Café - ONLINE Support group for professionals and families living abroad
Details
🌏 IBASHO Café : 居場所 カフェ
ONLINE support group for globally minded professionals, partners and parents to connect, share and reflect away from home
🪷 What is IBASHO?
In Japanese, “IBASHO” (居場所) means “a place to be, a sense of emotional belonging” — to be your true self, free from judgment and exclusion.
The IBASHO community space creates an emotional 'home' away from home. No pressure. No fixing. Just connection, curiosity, and care.
THEME: Isolation Abroad: transforming isolation into resilience, creativity & self-discovery
Living abroad often means moments of isolation: feeling unseen, disconnected, or “outside” of belonging. It can be heavy. But it can also be a place for clarity, resilience, and even creativity.
At Ibasho Café, we’ll reflect together:
✨ What does isolation feel like in your host country?
✨ Where do you find belonging?
✨ How can solitude be turned into support instead of struggle?
We’ll hold space for open sharing and gentle, thought-provoking questions that make you feel less alone — creating a sense of IBASHO (a safe place to belong) across borders.
