Spacy: Building accessible applications from the ground up

In 2020, INNOQ joined countless other companies in moderating large company wide events remotely. Unfortunately, the tooling that we could find for moderating our events was not accessible - which meant that not all of our colleagues were able to participate to the same degree.

Our solution is spacy - an accessible application for moderating open space events. In this session, I will be demoing the spacy application and talking about the different accessibility features that it showcases. These include HTML landmarks, navigation via links within the application, alternatives to Drag-n-Drop, and use of aria-live regions.
