Would anyone be interested in going to see the Bläck Fööss, one of Germany's most famous bands, performing in the Cologne dialect (Kölsch)?

These days, the Schlossfest Frankfurt-Höchst, one of the city's most traditional festivals, is taking place. Around the historic Höchst Castle and throughout the charming old town, you'll find live music, local food specialties, artisan stalls, and a wonderful atmosphere full of history and charm.

On Sunday at 8:00 p.m., the Bläck Fööss will perform. Founded in 1970, the band is closely associated with the Cologne Carnival, but their repertoire extends far beyond carnival music, ranging from pop and rock to blues, jazz, funk, and reggae. In addition to celebrating the city of Cologne in their songs, they also address social issues such as environmental protection, racism, and Germany's historical memory. In 2022, they celebrated their 50+2 anniversary with three sold-out concerts in front of Cologne Cathedral. Following the departure of several long-standing members, the band has continued performing with a renewed line-up since 2023.
