ICM-ISTE: Intershop Test Environment (in the Cloud)

Just to give you some clues:

• Run and monitor 10-30k e2e tests
• Support for multiple databases
• Test distributed environments, replication and staging
• expect and manage huge test-durations (if run sequentially a whole test would run for days...)
• analyse test results, correlate failures with server code, server logs etc.

It turned out meeting such challenges is hard and a read to use solution is not available out-of-the-box. Instead we created our own environment and tooling that (together with performance- and load tests) makes it possible to roll-out ICM efficiently.
The Intershop Test Environment is based on a Microservice architecture, takes advantages from its own workflow engine library, and reduces costs using a scale-to-zero approach.
