Informal get-together of Kotlin developers in Berlin

Details
Hello, fellow Kotliners!
Our next informal get-together will take place at Axel Springer where we will hear about:
-
Ktor - asynchronous Kotlin Web Framework by Marcel Dohnal
In this session, we will see with a live demo how we build a rest interface with the Kotlin Web Framework "Ktor". -
Deserializing HTML easy as pie - what I learned about creating DSLs -
by Christian Dräger
Have you ever heard about the kotlinx.html DSL?
In case you don't, it is a Kotlin multiplatform library that provides a type-safe DSL to build / serialize static HTML right from your Kotlin code.
But what if we want to do it the other Way around and deserialize HTML or XML in Kotlin?
With this question in mind and the goal to learn how to create DSLs in kotlin I started my little adventure by creating a library that is exclusively using a DSL interface. I will use the example of the skrapeit library to talk about what I have learned about creating DSLs. (https://docs.skrape.it/)
I would like also to mention, it has been a very difficult month for finding speakers and a venue, so we would like to reach out to you and ask if you have any interesting (or even boring but Kotlin related) project to share or if your company would like to host our meetup, then please don't hesitate and contact us!
You can reach us here trough meetup or on #berlin channel on Kotlin Slack.
