Printmaking with Vintage Pattern Rollers
Details
In this printing workshop we use pattern rollers to create a variety of greeting cards, wrapping paper, envelopes and original artworks.
You don't need any prior experience to make beautiful prints.
Pattern rollers were originally developed around 100 years ago to decorate wallpaper with colourful patterns. They are made of rubber. We use them to print on paper.
The ones used in this workshop are from the 1950s and 1960s, so they feature unique vintage patterns.
In this introductory workshop you will learn how to handle the rollers and how to combine colours and patterns for a wide variety of designs.
The two-hour session gives you plenty of time to create many different prints.
We use quick-drying paint, so you can take all your creations home with you.
The workshop costs 25 euros, and all materials are included. You only need to wear clothes that you don't mind getting stained, such as an old shirt or an apron.
The art space is pleasantly cool, so the workshop is comfortable even on the hottest days.
