Hyperledger in European Research and CarbonBlock projects

Details

The Hyperledger Meetup is back on March 31st, with lots of news! BerChain e.V has become the official organizer of the Hyperledger Meetups in Berlin, joining the thriving Hyperledger community. After some downtime, we are now ready to re-start this community and present interesting use cases coming from the Hyperledger ecosystem every three months. For now, the sessions will be virtually...and hopefully moving offline soon again.

For the next Virtual Hyperledger Meetup #5, we will be seeing Circular Tree and Ape Unit, presenting two different use-cases with Hyperledger Fabric and Besu.

Speakers

Emil Wagner Managing Director and Founding Partner, Ape Unit
Gunther Walden CEO and Founder Circular Tree

In this Virtual Hyperledger Meetup our guest Ape Unit will present “HyperLedger Besu for European Research: Exploring the potential of disruptive tech for open public services”
where Emil Wagner, Managing Director and Founding Partner, Ape Unit, will talk about The CO3 project which aims to assess disruptive technologies' benefits and risks and enable public administrations to shift their role. Co3 stands for Co-creating, Co-producing, and Co-managing Open Public Services along with citizens. Ape Unit will present what they have learned from using HyperLedger Besu to create a blockchain-based exchange system.

After Ape Unit’s presentation, Circular Tree will present “Introduction into Innovation Award-winning CarbonBlock solution” where Gunther Walden, Founder & CEO of CircularTree will present how they use the Hyperledger Fabric Blockchain to provide a solution that tracks real carbon footprint information through the supply chain. The main highlights of this presentation will be touching the benefits encountered with Hyperledger’s Fabric architecture, its challenges, and the feedback given by Porsche, BASF, and Motherson about the overall CarbonBlock project.
