Day hikes around five hours long, with a picnic break for lunch, on Saturdays or Sundays, around Cascais, Sintra and other parts of the Lisbon region. Transport will be organized by train, bus, or car-sharing, so that members living anywhere around Lisbon will be able to participate.

Hiking from Sintra to Lagoa Azul (circular)

Hello Everyone,

We will hike from Sintra to Lagoa Azul (circular).
It's an around 16 km long trail with 550m of elevation gain. There is a short part that we will need to go through dense trees/bushes.

We will meet at 11:00, across Pizza Hut.

Pack a picnic lunch and at least one and a half litre of water. Hiking shoes/hiking boots, a hat, sunscreen, sunglasses and a raincoat are advised for a comfortable hike.

This event may be rescheduled/cancelled depending on the weather conditions.

If you would like to contribute towards the Lisbon Hiking Meetup costs, please prepare a contribution of 2 euros per person for this coming hike. This is simply a chance to contribute toward the group's costs.

Whether you already have a place or are still in the waiting list, if you later change your mind about coming, then it is very important that you change your RSVP, so another member can participate instead.

It is not allowed to smoke and to leave any trash during the hike!

By choosing to participate in the event, you agree to undertake every reasonable personal safety precaution and confirm that you are in appropriate physical condition and health to take part in the activity. Organizers are not responsible for theft or damage to members’ personal property, or any accidents or medical costs incurred by participants as a result of attending events. All involvement in activities and events organized and hosted by Lisbon Hiking Meetup will be at the members’ own risk.
