LLVM Social #30 - Numba/llvmlite with Valentin Haenel
Details
In our October meetup, we welcome Valentin Haenel to discuss the Numba project and llvmlite. Valentin works as a senior software engineer at Anaconda.
Numba is an open-source JIT compiler that translates the computationally intensive functions of your numerical programs and libraries from Python/NumPy to highly optimized machine code. Internally, Numba uses llvmlite, a lightweight Python binding for writing JIT compilers with LLVM.
Small snacks and drinks will be available. Once discussions fade into casual conversation, we may go for drinks to c-base or just stay upstairs. There is always space for outside topics and discussions. If you have specific questions, please bring them. Looking forward to meeting everyone again!
