=> Kim Hee: Topological Data Analysis (TDA) and Use cases

TDA is a new analytic technique growing branch of applied mathematics. The coverage of the presentation ranges from mathematics foundation to the practical use cases. Audience will learn three functionality of TDA: visualization, exploration and feature selection.

=> Pascal Weinberger: Introduction to NuPIC

On the quest for true machine intelligence, there is one thing you should be aware of: Your Cortex. Whilst most ML approaches rely on beautiful mathematics and error minimizing methods to learn and predict patterns in Data, NuPIC tries to rely more on the biological example of working intelligence, the cortex, incorporating structural and functional constraints in the Algorithm. You will be made familiar with NuPICs algorithm - HTM - and learn about features and use cases of it.
