Über uns
This group is for people who are looking for an exercise buddy within Scotland's central belt.
Let's do this!! 💪
We currently have events set up as discussion forums for May and June:
MMA/Combat Sports Buddies
Running Buddies
Swimming Buddies
Hiking Buddies
Badminton Buddies
Surfing Buddies
These "events" are safe spaces where you can use the chat spaces to meet up with other members for exercise in your area.
If you have an idea for an activity, please get in touch 🙂
Please note: I have removed "events" which were not being used for discussion (specific gyms).
*OUR MEETUP RULES*
1. Please make sure your profile picture is of your face so everyone knows what you look like before you meet them. Safety first!! ⚠️
2. THIS GROUP IS FOR INDIVIDUALS ONLY!!! And as individuals, feel free to network amongst yourselves during events. This group exists for people who wish to exercise in small groups and maybe make friends whilst doing so. It does not exist for companies wanting to advertise their products.
3. If you ever face any issues in the group or at events, please come to me first. I will not stand for any kind of bullying, racism, sexism or any sort of degrading nonsense towards other people. This is 2024 people. Be nice!!

Alles ansehen- Hike: West Lomond Hill via the Bunnet Stane & the Devil's Burdens (7 miles)Glen Vale Car Park, Kinross
Let's walk up the highest hill in Fife!
This is a joint meetup with the other group I run - UnCoupled - but you don't have to be single to join this walk - this is just gathering like minded folks together for a big walk!!
The plan is to follow the "from the west" routes as written on the Fife Walking website - West Lomond Hills . We'll walk up Glen Vale (a gentler route up) and back down by the Bunnet Stane (steeper). I am not a fast up-hill walker and will be taking plenty of breaks "for the view", but if you want to split into 2 groups (faster/slower), then we'll meet up near the top and walk down together.
The route is 7 miles in total and the 500m ascent is a mixture of path, grass and rougher/muddier terrain so please wear suitable footwear, and bring layers for the higher climb (as it'll get colder towards the top). It's supposed to take 3-4 hours but I'm factoring in breaks :)
I would recommend bringing plenty of water (though you can refill from a freshwater source) and a sugary snack to keep your energy levels up.
This walk is not accessible via public transport so I'm happy to take my car and give lifts from Granton or nearby there (leaving about 12 noon). If driving yourself, please let us know if you're also willing to take passengers. The carpark at Glen Vale is described as limited parking (but free) so the fewer cars the better I think! Let's carpool!! Please note, a contribution towards petrol of £5 each to the driver would be much appreciated I believe.
Ps. Please note, there are no bathrooms on this route. Take supplies!
