Unity Developers Berlin Hangout meetup

Please Note: This is a hybrid, community event managed by our ReDI Alumni, Zaid Zaim, within the Unity Developer Hangout event.

Dear Community,

We are excited to announce our first Unity meet-up in Berlin 🇩🇪 of this year, which will be held both onsite and in a hybrid format. For those who can't join us onsite, make sure to join on zoom via this link.
This is a great opportunity for Unity enthusiasts to come together and celebrate their shared interests.

Our goal is to bring people from diverse backgrounds together to learn and share their experiences with Unity 3D.
We are honored to have Antonia Foster, a Senior XR Technical Specialist at Unity, and Esteban Cabán, a Sr. Developer Advocate for Multiplayer Solutions at Unity Technologies, as online guest speakers.
At the meet-up, you'll have the chance to meet experts from the XR and MR space and network with other Unity developers.
You'll also have the opportunity to learn about new projects and be inspired by others in the community.
We will have Pizza & Drinks at the event.
We will also have a "Mixed Reality PlaySpace" where visitors can experience and explore XR devices.

Session - Using Virtual Worlds to Change the World
As an LGBTQ+ activist and a VR developer, Antonia is passionate about using her technical skills to make a positive impact. To this end, she created the world’s first LGBTQ+ VR Museum, an award-winning digital experience that combines photogrammetry / 3D volumetric capture and audio stories to celebrate and preserve the personal history of queer people. Join Antonia as she shares her journey as a self-taught coder (with no Computer Science degree); the tools she used to design, prototype and build the project; and the lessons learned along the way.

Getting Started with Multiplayer Games in Unity
In this talk you'll learn about Unity's new multiplayer library called Netcode for GameObjects (NGO) and also learn a little bit about how Unity Gaming Services (UGS) can help you in creating multiplayer games. Esteban will show the library using the Unity editor and will also go over the Multiplayer Tools package that can help you test and debug your multiplayer project!
