Details

Friendship describes relationships that shape our everyday lives, our sense of belonging, and often who we become over time.
For some, friendship means closeness and loyalty.
For others, it means freedom, shared moments, or simply knowing someone is there.
Across cultures, languages and life experiences, friendship can look and feel very different — especially for locals, internationals and expats navigating changing places and communities.
This meetup is a relaxed, open space to explore what friendship means to us individually and collectively.

**Update** When announcing this event a few hours ago this was not in the description but I would like to give this event a little twist and also analyze friendships between guys vs friendship between girls. Are there differences and if so, what are they? In order to analyze this question I will from now only admit girls to the event when someone cancels the particpation (as right now there are only guys in the participant list)

### Some questions we might explore:

  • What makes a friendship meaningful?
  • Is friendship something we choose, or something that grows naturally?
  • Can friendship exist without expectations?
  • Do friendships have phases — and should they?
  • What do you value most in a friendship?
  • How have your friendships changed over time?
  • What helps you feel truly connected to someone?
  • When do you feel like a good friend yourself?

There’s no pressure to speak — listening is just as welcome as sharing.
Come as you are, bring your perspective, and be part of an easygoing, thoughtful conversation around a word that connects us all.

Please note that we´ll be asking for some donations to cover the room and meetup costs.
