This year is coming to an end so let's have our last meetup for the year. Let's all come together in this time of social distancing!

For this meetup, we will have a guest speaker. Amela Kodzic will talk about the importance of Accessibility Testing and what tools can be used. After that we will have an interactive part, see below:

Accessibility means that websites, tools, and technologies are designed and developed so that people with disabilities can use them. Accessibility is usually pushed on the side and there is the most common excuse we often hear that teams don't have the skills or the time to do accessibility testing.
"The power of the web is in its universality. Access by everyone regardless of disability is an essential aspect." But if accessibility testing is embedded at the beginning, everything can be different. This session will throw light on some of the essential accessibility topics:

• Understand the value, meaning, and importance of web accessibility
• Gain an understanding of different tools for accessibility testing
• Get an intro and demo of automated testing tools.

Amela is a QA advocate and enthusiast, aspiring coder, chef, and fearless climber.
She is a QA Engineer at SumUp with a passion for improving quality processes, and currently embracing her destiny to become a frontend developer. Her passion for sharing knowledge is the reason she is engaged in the local community.
She is trying to perfect her Pumpkin pie recipe and to pass the green routes in Basement Boulderstudio.

What is Lighthouse?
Lighthouse is an open-source, automated tool for improving the performance, quality, and correctness of your web apps.

When auditing a page, Lighthouse runs a barrage of tests against the page and then generates a report on how well the page did. From here you can use the failing tests as indicators of what you can do to improve your app.
