  1. Lukasz Bialy of Virtus Lab: Hands-on Besom: Full-stack Scala in practice
    Introduction to the future of infrastructure management using Besom - a Pulumi SDK for Scala. After a brief explanation of the fundamentals of Besom's programming model, we will leave the shallows and jump straight into a live coding session during which we will deploy a full-blown AI product written in Scala to the cloud.

    Why do languages like Scala and Rust claim that you can make "algebraic" data types and what kind of algebra can you do with those types?
