Save the date: Munich participating the global series of Geekettes events for IWD, sponsored by Intel Software! Join us for several activities and presentations exploring different aspects of Technology. The event is open, meaning you can arrive anytime during the event.

Here is our schedule:

4:30 - IoT workshop - Sulamita Garcia, Intel IoT Developer Evangelist, will be showing how to work with Intel Edison platform. See the demonstration of the Developer Kit, and how to code in Arduino, C/C++, Javascript or Python. Bring your laptop if you would like to have a hands on experience.

6:00 - What a pastry chef taught me about User Experience

As a UX Designer, it is my job to provide the best possible user experience. And one way to understand what makes a good user experience is to observe it in the real world. Since we are meeting to celebrate the Women's Day, I would like to talk about what a great woman, friend and very good pastry chef, taught me about User Experience.

Speaker: Alessandra Petromilli is a UX Designer with a background in Psychology and HMI. Her insatiable curiosity and passion for foreign languages led her to work as a UX Designer in Munich first at zooplus, and now at Autoscout24. Besides that, Alessandra is the organizer of the MÜX meetup group, gives talks, leads workshops, does yoga and runs a food blog.

7:15 Trends and Technology - Cristiane Reinmann

will talk about trends and what they mean for technology. Some of the areas she will cover are Demographics, Digital Detox and Biotech & Healthcare.

Christiane is leading Intel’s Insights, Analytics and Market Research team in EMEA. Before joining Intel she was working for the global consultancy Roland Berger and Triumph the leading manufacturer of lingerie and underwear.

7:45 - So you are thinking of creating your own company... - so let's hear it from those who did it! This panel invites 3 startup founders to share their journeys, motivations and insights into this path.

Steffi Feldmann is a serial (tech) entrepreneur based in Munich. While studying International Business Communications she founded her first startup and has now founded a total of four companies within the last 3 years. In 2015 she was able to sell one of those to a Fortune 50 Global corporation which enabled her to found her latest startup mazel. mazel is a messenger that enables you to challenge your friends for information through cute mini-games and was officially founded this year.

Galina Bankova, founder of „Do Work You Love“ Galina (34) is an expat based in Munich, working in the field of Innovation, Advanced Education und Startup Scene for the last 6 years. Before that she has studied Business Administration and gained business experience at large companies (e. g. Allianz, Infineon & Siemens). After having teached and coached hundrets of young (wanna-be) entrepreneurs, Galina decided it was time to quit her job with a management concultancy and start her own business – Do Work You Love (network-events, workshops, coaching etc. for people to find & do work they love).

Daria Sarahova has been active in the digital industry for over a decade. She served as an investment manager at SevenVentures, an investment arm of the ProSiebenSat.1 Media Group, and worked in the investment team at Holtzbrinck. Prior to joining Vito Ventures, Daria led the TMT DACH practice at Skillcapital, a buyside advisory firm for the Private Equity industry. Daria also founded Bellegs, an eCommerce startup, and is a co-founder of the Munich Founders Association. She started her career at KPMG and later at global investment bank Jefferies, where she worked in the international media team. Daria holds a diploma degree in business administration from Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich.
