AI Coding Lab
Details
AI coding assistants are becoming part of software development work.
There are many tools, models, skills, frameworks, prompts, configurations, and tool harnesses. The environment is changing quickly, and many of us are still figuring out what works in practice.
This meetup is for coding, experimenting, and discussion.
We want to try different skills, models, configurations, prompts, and tool harnesses on standard application ideas, pet projects, private projects, or company projects you are allowed to use.
Attendees can join one larger MOB/fishbowl group, work in pairs or small groups, or work solo.
If you want to work in a pair, small group, or solo, please bring your own tools and an AI subscription or API key. One subscription or API key per group is enough.
At the moment, we cannot provide subscriptions or API keys for everyone, but this may change in the future if we find a sponsor.
The meetup is not only about the current hands-on session. We also want to share what we are learning from using AI coding assistants in our daily work, private projects, and experiments.
We can discuss which tools and setups we use, what has worked for us, what has failed, what questions are still open, and how our role as software developers is changing.
We can also reflect on the coding rounds themselves: what happened, what surprised us, how we worked with the AI, which decisions we made ourselves, and which decisions came from the AI.
