Winter Hike (MEDIUM) from Füssen to and around the Alpsee
Details
Hi there
would you like to join me on this beautiful hike?
Our hike will start in Füssen, we will first head to the beautiful Alpsee and then walk around it and climb up a bit. On our way back we will pass the Schwansee. Highlights of the tour are the old town of Füssen, the famous “Lechfall” (the more or less impressive waterfall of the river Lech in Füssen). From the top of the Kavalerieberg we will have a beautiful view of Füssen and the first glimpse of the two castles. When walking around the Alpsee, supposedly the clearest lake in Bavaria, we will repeatedly have views of Neuschwanstein and Schwangau. (Please note: I do not plan to visit the castles and there would not be enough time for that).
Meeting time and place: We will meet at 7:50 at the begin of track 31. The direct train (BRB RB68) to Füssen leaves at 8:03 from track 31, we will arrive in Füssen at 10:12. I assume that everyone has the Deutschlandticket. Otherwise please take care of your own ticket.
Tour: The tour is approx. 18 km long, height to go up is approx 700 m, walking time I would estimate with 5 to 6 hours. Trails are easy to medium and might be wet and slippery.
Good hiking shoes are a must have!
Food and drinks: There are places for coffee and food in Füssen at the beginning and the end of the tour. I would advise to bring water and some snacks.
Please note; I am not a professional Tour guide. This is a purely private Tour. I do that as a hobby and for free. You participate at your own risk and responsibility. I am not responsible for any damages or injuries you might suffer.
