A Strategic Working Session to Review, Confirm, and Map the Future of the Weight Loss Competitive Landscape
In January, we held a working session (our "Mapping Opportunities" session) to apply Wardley Maps to the rapidly evolving world of weight loss companies and drugs. We analyzed the ecosystem, mapped components, and made strategic assumptions about the industry's direction.
Ten months have passed, and the competitive landscape has evolved, driven by technological advancements, compliance challenges and market movements.
So, why not to follow it up?
In this hands-on session, we will use our original Wardley Map as a starting point to:
- Assess the Evolution: Analyze the competitive landscape's advance over the last 10 months and identify which components have moved along the evolutionary axis (from Genesis to Commodity).
- Confirm Assumptions: Review the strategic assumptions and foreseeable risks we identified in January, confirming which ones held true and challenging those that did not.
- Map the Next Moves: Use the updated map to collaboratively foresee the potential next strategic and tactical moves in this space, identifying new headwinds and tailwinds for incumbents and innovators.
As always, this is a collaborative working session, not a presentation.
Please come prepared to share your strategic insights and engage in a deep discussion about how to use Wardley Maps to understand and respond to change.
