AWS Community GameDay Europe 2026

Hey fellow AWS enthusiasts! ✨
The AWS Community GameDay Europe is coming to Nürnberg!
This one will be a special meetup - no slides, just hands-on experience!

We will join over 50 User Groups across Europe for a special event. Be prepared for a fun and super hands-on GameDay by competing with with other local and Europe-wide teams.

Join us with a friend, a team, or on your own. We will form teams of 2 to 4 people onsite.

Agenda

• 17:30 – 18:00: Arrival & team formation
• 18:00 – 18:20: GameDay introduction on the stream
• 18:20 – 20:30: Game play
• 20:30 – 20:45: European closing ceremony — prizes for the top teams
• 20:45: Local closing

Participation Information:

• Teams: 2 to 4 players (come as a team, or form on-site)
• Topics: AI agents, Security, Serverless Architecture, Container/K8s
• Equipment: Your personal laptop (internet connection provided)
• No AWS account needed: Access will be provided on site, no personal account required
• Duration: Around 2 hour of competition between local and international teams
• Timing: Start 18:00h! This is a synchronised international event connected via a shared live stream across all participating locations. To ensure a smooth experience, the GameDay will start on time.

There are prizes, too!
Global prizes

• 1st place: 1000$ AWS Credits, 4 Exam Vouchers, unique AWS Community hoodie, 4 GameDay Trophies and customized medals/stickers
• 2nd and 3rd place: AWS Credits for each team member (2nd place 100$, 3rd place 50$), unique AWS Community Hoodies, customized medals

We will provide Local prizes for top-3 winning teams of our UG, too. Stay tuned!

What is an AWS GameDay?
An AWS GameDay is a gamified learning event where participants are challenged to use AWS solutions to solve real-world technical problems as a team. Unlike traditional workshops, GameDays are open-ended and non-prescriptive, giving participants the freedom to explore and think outside the box.

Is this event for you?
Definitely! The event is open to anyone with a general knowledge of AWS. No senior or expert is level required!
