Details

Agenda:

18:00 - Introductions, snacks and drinks

18:15 - "GPUs in OpenShift 4.x für AI/ML" - Andreas Letsche (Expert IT Consultant at ConSol Consulting & Solutions Software GmbH)

  • "Artificial Intelligence (AI)" and "Machine Learning (ML)" are based on "Deep Learning Models". The training of these "deep learning models" is very computationally intensive and in many cases requires the use of GPUs. If "AI/ML workloads" are to be run on OpenShift, "worker nodes" with "GPUs" are required. How to equip "OpenShift 4.x worker nodes" on "Vmware vSphere" with "GPUs" and what to watch out for, is the subject of the lecture.

19:00 - “OpenShift - Secure Containers from the Cloud to the Edge” - Daniel Brintzinger (Principal Solution Architect at Red Hat GmbH)

  • The state of Kubernetes 2022 report has just shown that security is one of the biggest challenges around containers today. We will be looking into ways how an inherently secure OpenShift platform can benefit from additional tools to fortify the full workload lifecycle. Additionally I will show you options to expand these workloads to small form factor IoT and edge devices. For example MicroShift allows you to run an OpenShift on your raspberry Pi and we will dive a little deeper into this exciting new project.

19:45 - Secure your infrastructure with NGINX+ and NGINX App Protect (secure ingress controller) - Martin Petersen (Solution Engineer at F5/NGINX)

  • Short presentation and demo around nginx ingress with NGINX App Protect. This session will show how to create basic ingress services, how to secure them and finally how make them visible for DevSecOps

Additional information:

  • Talks will be held in German
