This is our fourth meetup, aimed at beginners learning to code and develop software. The format of our October meetup will be:

Scheduled talks (~20mins each)

# A Coder's Life (So Far) by @stevenfarlie
Join Steven as he recounts his life in code. From beginnings on a farm in rural Australia through to consulting in some of the country's biggest websites.

# Lists list lists by Leonhard
Lists are everywhere: todos, recipes, plans, speech, programs, algorithms, Turing machines and even math can be expressed as lists. Leonhard will show you what the basic concept of a list is, how some well know subtypes (Arrays, Stacks, Double Linked Lists) work and what ready-to-use implementations programming languages offer. Furthermore we take an introductory look at algebra, set theory and predicate logic.

Learn-n-Tell

Inspired by Berlin's wonderful Hack-n-Tell ( https://www.meetup.com/berlin-hack-and-tell ), this is a chance for you to share with others what you have learned, what code you have written, some questions you have (there are no stupid questions!) or something you are stuck on. You don't have to prepare - all you need is 5 minutes. Bring your laptop - who knows - maybe there is something you have learned that is really helpful to others.

We suggest you grab something to eat before hand (or bring it with you) as the evening tends to go until around 9pm. We usually also have some drinks afterwards.
